Folks,
Preetu Nair and Peter de Souza, Gomantak Times reporters have won the
UNDP-TAHA and HIV and Human Development Resource Network's (HDRN) media
award for 2006 for reporting on Trafficking and HIV. Competing with over 300
reports from local and national dailies, their story "Stuck in traffic" won
the award for pinpointing the people involved in human trafficking in Goa.
