Albert,
Podvi sounds like a Tar-poi-toli (beyond the river bank) Bardeshi term to me
- no one will understand that term in southern Salcete - I will prefer to
stick to my Sashti-Konkani. Thanks for the information BTW.
Why Keep up your "Aao Portugues Ponkad, Podhi and Patrade" - (i.e. Tantrum,
Pride and Prejudice) ....Shouldn't it be "Aao Goenkar" these days ? all for
the greater good of our beloved Goa !
Don't forget to campaign for our Niz Goenkar, highest educated and champion
of good governance Goan IITian Manohar Parrikar for Goa CM in the upcoming
May elections.
Best Regards,
Dr. Carmo D'Cruz
ex Velim in South Goa
now Indian Harbour Beach, Florida

To our great carmo
There is no word Podhi in Konkani. It should be Podvi.
