With reference to the article, 'Wildlife hotspots and biodiversity.
Different strokes for different folks! By Miguel Braganza', that appeared in
the February 2, 2007 edition of the Gomantak Times, Goa, as well as on the
'Net at:http://www.goanet.org/index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=774, I
wish to make a few corrections in the paragraph below...

"The thrilling parts of the hike were the dip in a milky waterfall and an
aerial river crossing on a single cable "bridge" erected by Adventure
trainer "Pradeep Joshi" of Prajosh Adventures. Strapping on a "hip harness",
hooking the "carabine" to the "cable and guy rope", and crossing the river
like a commando has its own thrill."

The mistakes in the above are in quotes.

The name is Prasad Joshi, not Pradeep Joshi.

Carabine: Karabiner or Carabiner

And a guy rope is a rope or cable that is used to brace something
(especially a tent). The rope in question here is called a Kernmantle rope.

And it's not a hip harness but Seat Harness.

Thanking you,

Suraj George
Camp Manager & Coordinator
