Gabe, It takes me 17 minutes to drive the 15 miles to work during rush hour. Parking is $20 till 6.00 pm. If you are a minute late, the machine adds another $10 to the parking bill. The drive home takes 90 minutes. On the other hand, Toronto transit does all the driving, charges me $5.30 for the return trip and I get to read the newspapers both ways. Toronto transit is also one of the safest places to be. Tipsy teenage girls ride the TTC home after mid-night and no one will even attempt to take advantage of them. It helps that every bus has four or five camera's on it. A great city will have a great transport system. The current Mayor of Toronto is going to cost this city a fortune in the future.
