Jose Fernandes a 52 year old Portuguese citizen came to Canada as a young boy
along with his family in the 1970s. Thrown out of the house at age 15, being
rebellious, he was put in a training school (probably as a ward of the state).

While his parents and siblings applied for and became Canadian citizens in due
course, he never availed of that opportunity no doubt having at that age better
ways to spend it than giving it to the Govt of Canada. Running afoul of the law
on a few occasions - if you are not a citizen and commit serious enough crimes
you will be deported - he was deported to Portugal, being of Portuguese
nationality.

Understandably, with his family, friends and everybody he knew all being in
Canada, Jose returned illegally - 5 times. On false Canadian passports under
different names. He was caught every time.

Both Canada Border Protection and the courts are fed up of Jose. This time the
public prosecutor asked for 2 years jail time but Jose pulled only 8 months
since the judge heard him plead with tears in his eyes that he would return
again but this time legally. Jose of course stands no chance of legally
returning because of his crime sheet.

So once again he will come, be caught, jailed, enjoying the hospitality of the
taxpayer's money at $300 dollars per day and be deported in style on an all
expenses paid air ticket to Portugal. Jose goes out of pocket only for this
Portugal to Canada fare.

Good luck Jose. Just charm a lonely 50 year old Canadian citizen of the
opposite sex with a few fados, plenty of maceira and tons of the food you must
no doubt be fond of cooking yourself and your immediate problems will be
solved. But you have no problems you'll probably tell me. And you would be
right.

Roland.
