My dear Gabriel, You are a good man. You understand that JetAirways is not a public (govt) bus service where anything goes. Airlines are in the business of making money for their shareholders while ensuring that they transport their passengers safely from point A to point B.
Accordingly, you do not expect their customer service to bend the rules just because the customer decides to behave like a disordeiro. ( I understand from one of my clients that bad behavior by customers is almost universal ...... And usually results in zilch except drama and headache) So, as a smart customer, you try to find out (in advance ) how best to get the best deal for yourself. Good for you. BTW: it is my impression that certain airlines have modified the seating configuration to make up for 'baggage' incentives ie (say) 180 seats instead of 120. So, it might be a little cramped .....and let's not forget: everybody's bags may or may not arrive at Dabolim with the flight they are on. I'd say that delayed baggage at Dabolim is not as much of a problem as delayed baggage at Mumbai.....en route Melbourne. Have a great Christmas in Goa - to all and remember: IF you are traveling to the US, Canada or Oz .... carry Goa sausages only if you like them to be dumped either in India or at destination. jc > On Dec 21, 2013, at 3:42 AM, Gabriel de Figueiredo > <[email protected]> wrote: > > Going to Goa from Oz via Dubai is too time-consuming. > > Making the trip on Qantas-JetAir (which would hopefully allow 20kgs pp) is > too tiring as the there are many segments: > Melbourne-Perth-Singapore-Mumbai-Goa, not giving enough time to rest properly > in between flights. > > So the next time, we plan to fly the usual Singapore Airlines which allow > 30kgs pp since last year (arriving Mumbai at around 10:00am in the morning, > so no mosquito-killing sessions at airport), and fly business class Mumbai to > Goa on GoAir or an airline other than Jet Airways.
