Severe wind chill expected tonight into Friday morning. Bitterly cold
Arctic air has established itself across Southern and Eastern Ontario.
In addition a low pressure system near the Lower Great Lakes continues
to generate moderate northeasterly winds. The combination of winds and
Arctic air produced severe wind chill in many localities today with
values ranging from minus 30 to minus 40C. Conditions are expected to
persist as a result severe wind chills are forecast for this evening and
tonight.
**It is advised to dress warmly and cover any exposed skin as much as
possible when heading outdoors. At these extreme wind chill values
frostbite on exposed skin may occur in less than 10 minutes.**
