Today is exactly a year that the 7 year old Vasco girl was mercilessly raped in the toilet of Deep Vihar School run by the Mormugao Port Trust where she was studying in the second standard. Thanks to Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar the politically well connected rapist is still at large and moving freely.
It is however extremely anguishing that Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has to date not cared to even visit that little victim and her grieving family. Today being Power Minister Milind Naik’s birthday, Manohar Parrikar will be in Vasco and will have no excuse not to visit that still traumatized rape victim. Mr. Chief Minister, the little girl and her grief stricken parents have been waiting for you for a year. They are a very poor family and will graciously forgive your insensitivity to their plight. Please visit them. While at Vasco celebrating your Power Minister’s birthday, you could also see your other victim Tarun Tejpal whom you have housed at Sada jail. Goa has been witnessing a huge spurt of rapes on minor children with the latest yesterday at Bogmalo. Does Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar not realize that seeing the Vasco rapist scot free it must be only emboldening many other rapists to rape without fear?
