>From the Joseph Naik Vaz Institute ...

The Church in Goa and Catholic Goans worldwide are celebrating two historic
anniversaries this month:

The 303rd Death Anniversary of Blessed Joseph Vaz, Patron of the Archdiocese of
Goa, on January 16, and the 145th Birth Anniversary of Ven. Fr. Agnelo D’Souza
of the Society of Pilar, on January 21.

In response to appeals for prayers for success in the final stages of the
Process for Canonization of Bl. Joseph Vaz (1656-1711) from the Archdiocese of
Goa and the Cardinal and Bishops of Sri Lanka, the Joseph Naik Vaz Institute
invites all Bay Area Indian and Sri Lankan Catholics to attend a Mass on the
4th Sunday of every month throughout 2014.
