Sri Naguexa,
I guess you were playing godes and koindabal when Jose
Colaco of Panjim Gymkhana was their premier batsman.
Always played with the front foot. One rasping drive
almost took out Dayanda Bandodcar of his rattan chair.
The dal bhaji bowlers were easy meat to hunky Colaco.

Dilip Sardesai never represented Goa. He got his break
in Bombay.
He also played for ACC, then one of the premier teams
in the country,
with Mafatlal and Tatas. Bombay is perhaps the
toughest place to get
recognized as far as cricket talent goes. Sardessai
retired in mid-70s.
If you are referring to Colin Rodrigues who played at
Panjim Gymkhana,
he was not even close to Dilip Sardesai's talent. I
have seen both
Dilip
Sardessai
and Colin play. Goa got its Ranji Trophy status in the
80s, perhaps too
late
for
Colin to show his talents!
.
