GSRP launches scathing attack on National Parties for taking Goa for a jolly good ride for the past 52 years. Says enough is enough. The Secretary & President [Youth Affairs] Goa Su-Raj Party, while speaking at the formal launching of Dayanand Narvekar's new political party.. the Goa Democratic Front [GDF], having been extended special invitation to speak, has launched a scathing attack on National Parties for having taken Goa and Goans for a jolly good ride for the past 52 years of the so called liberated Goa. Terming the INC as a political party that has been infested by rats who have been nibbling at Goa's well-being, he derided the BJP as a party of FEKUs, the 'badda Feku' being Narendra Modi and the 'chotta Feku' being Goa's CM Manohar Parrikar. "Where are the promises of Pandit Jawarharlal Nehru to give Goa the autonomous special status? " he asked. "If Special Status for Goa does not come about in a jiffy before the LS elections and the crippling Gadgil-Mukerjee formula is not re-written in Goa's case to give Goa 50% of it's generated revenues, Goa will be shut down altogether " he said. Savio Rodrigues also said that GSRP has been in the forefront to bring all the regional forces, political and others, together for GOA as one and therefore has accepted the special invitation to GSRP from Dayanand Narvekar to speak on the occasion of the launching of his regional party GDF, because GSRP considers all forces which work and will work in the immediate future to safeguard Goa's right to protect it's interests, as friends and the National Parties, without excepttion, as foes proved to be such by their very track record. GSRP, he said, stands for GOOD GOVERNANCE, and if the push should become a shove, then GOA will demand, at the UN level, for "Independent Nation" status just like Timor Leste, he said to a crowd of over 2500 people attending the GDF launch.
