Mississauga - Brampton
12:03 AM EST Friday 28 February 2014
Wind chill warning for
Mississauga - Brampton continued
Wind chill values of minus 30 to minus 35 C overnight.
Strong and gusty northwesterly winds are blasting in even colder Arctic
air in the wake of a cold front. As a result wind chills of minus 30 to
minus 35 are expected overnight across most of Southern Ontario as the
bitterly cold Arctic air mass continues to invade from the northwest.
Anyone venturing outdoors, especially for an extended period, should
dress accordingly with as little exposed skin as possible.
Wind chills will improve this morning as temperatures struggle upward a
few degrees under the strengthening late February sun.

Bone chilling temperatures of -30C to -35C, with the wind chill, are
sure to keep people indoors overnight.
Environment Canada issued a wind chill warning for Toronto around 9 p.m.
advising anyone who needs to venture outdoors to dress accordingly with
as little exposed skin as possible.
A cold weather alert remains in effect for Toronto. It is the city's
30th night under the advisory this year.
Temperatures are expected to improve slightly Friday morning with sunny
skies and temperatures rising to a high of -10C.
