I have absolutely nothing personal against Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar with whom I personally have a very cordial relationship. Over the last 40 years I have highlighted wrongs done by successive governments and this mission I shall relentlessly pursue till my very last. During the Congress rule I was branded as a BJP man, now the BJP may feel I am an agent of the Congress. But I am, what I am and so I shall I remain. I will never compromise and surrender my right to speak out openly and candidly against anything that is wrong. I believe in never hesitating to take the bull by the horn.
Known for his vindictive nature, Manohar Parrikar must be working overtime to try and corner me. He must be yearning to catch me on the wrong foot but I strictly act within the parameters of law. Fortunately as a lawyer I am not at the mercy of the government for my daily bread. My 35 sq mt office keeps me content and like Advocate General Atmaram Nadkarni have no grandiose ambitions for a multi storied office or a fleet of Mercedes. I have no property for the Government to acquire as otherwise to settle scores the Land Acquisition Act would have been invoked. Manohar Parrikar will also never ever get an occasion to use a breathalyzer on me as I never take to the wheels after having a drink While in the Opposition Manohar Parrikar wanted everyone to be very vocal. Now that he is in power he wants pin drop silence all over. It will just now happen, Mr. Chief Minister. We need to stand up and speak for the sake of our Goa or else posterity will never forgive us.
