The Chinese are a wily bunch. Everything is done for a purpose. the search for the missing Malaysian Airlines fligt gives them an excuse to enter India's domain. Also Russia's annexation of the Crimea should send alarm bells throughout the world and particularly India. Once the Crimean annexation is a "fait accompli", what is there to keep the Chinese from annexing Arunachal Pradesh which they call Southern Tibet and parts of Ladakh ? China has been sending teams to probe India's very poorly guarded borders in Ladakh. They are slowly damming the upper reaches of the Brahaputra river which is the life blood of Assam and other India's Northeastern states. They are rapidly expanding their armed forces and qualitatively improving their combat readiness. What is India's response.....mired in scams and bureaucratic inertia, the radiness of India's armed forces is being degraded; procurement of the latest armamens is mired in scams The chinese are using their financial muscle to build ports in countries bordering India giving them access to deep water ports in times of conflict. India can no longer depend on the USA to come to its assistance, as the USA is financially bankrupt and its citizens have no taste for foreign conflicts. Russia is the ideological sibling of China. When the chips are down, in an India vs China conflict I feel that the Russians will exercise their veto power in favor of China. yes, the chinese do everything for a purpose. Now they have a ready made excuse to prowl through the Indian Ocean while India is twiddling its thumbs.
