Remedial measures need to be taken on a war footing to expedite the disposal of the mountain of cases pending before various courts across the country.
Some of these cases are pending for decades. Justice delayed is Justice denied with many not seeing justice in their lifetime. As on 1st March this year, in the Supreme Court itself the pendency is 65,261 cases besides the over three crore cases pending in various High Courts and Subordinate courts across the country. The threat to Goa's Judiciary lies when the flamboyant Advocate General Atmaram Nadkarni wants to pose as the super Chief Justice calling the shots. May God save our Judiciary and Goa's impoverished litigants from the nightmare of such a rabid fixer.
