POLITICS OF POLARIZATION, HATRED AND VIOLENCE It is raining big cash with the national parties this poll season.The High Court has directed action against foreign funding of the Congress and BJP. The mega rallies, air transport and associated expenditures on propaganda and infrastructure is mind boggling. It is reported that corporate and business houses donation to national parties run into thousands of crores. This will all be recovered during promised "development". Big business, middle class are helping line up media behind national chauvinism, submission of individuals and groups to larger than life individual.The System has to be changed or Anna, AAP,Khemka, Tejpal and the like will be hounded, nullified or ground into oblivion with impunity, as will anyone else who dares to dissent or challenge the System that is entrenched in sponsoring and protecting crony capitalism and corruption.
The political atmosphere is such that it is getting difficult to have faith and trust in any of the contestants or their parties who have given tickets yet again to tainted "winnable" candidates. Are money,muscle power, uncouth language and violence becoming indispensable for winning? Some poorly reported facts: In Jorhat constituency(Assam), mock drill of EVMs raised eyebrows as every time a button was pressed, the vote was for BJP! Deputy Commissioner Vishal Solanki said all EVMs under his custody will be put through a second level test! The Arch Bishop's circular explained witnessed by me the Church; it exorted us to pray for the next Lok Sabha to be able to give this nation honest governance that can implement rule of law without fear or favor in tune with our Constitution and to vote for good people who could deliver it. There is no "Fatwa" from the catholic church as implied in the Press and the many communal conclusions drawn! As regards father Cedric Prakash talk on Gujerat, we must know from those suffering first hand, what are the actual facts in not only in Gujerat, but also Khandemal, Bangalore etc. On the other hand it is reported that Ashok Singal of the VHP recently said " Under pressure from China,the US,Europe and some Muslim countries the Hindu identity was finished here. The day Modi comes in power in India, I declare that Nepal will into a turn Hindu state". Nepal was declared secular once the maoists ousted the monarchy! Physical attacks on Kejriwal are continuing and in Gujerat reportedly all avenues are booked by the BJP with thousands of Modi posters even on electric poles, and no permissions are given, which got Congress candidate Mistry booked for tearing down a Modi poster in anger to find space to put up one of his own!Is this the future of our Independence and Democracy?
