Yes, a bit too late for Goa, but none-the-less. The Good Farmer`s Deadly Mistake
There was a poor farmer , was a very good man , worked hard too , but had no child . He prayed to God to give him and his wife a nice little daughter . Soon he was blessed with a lovely girl child . He was poor but treated her like a princess . He worked 18 hours days all year , in sun and rain to get her the best toys , clothes , education and food . She too imbibed her fathers values and grew up to be a good caring human being . The farmer even managed to send her to study in a college in a nearby city . She got some good job offers and many nice handsome boys wanted to marry her . But she chose to come back to teach in the village school and said would marry only a kind hearted boy who would let her look after her old father . One day at the village school a kid was bullying another kid , hitting him with punches and beating him with a stick . The farmers daughter , now the school teacher stopped him . The boy complained to his father , who was a very powerful person . She was kidnapped, and a few days later found dead , raped , her body mutilated . The poor old farmer`s grief knew no bounds . He went to the police station . The police refused to file a complaint . He ran from pillar to post , nothing happened . He died of shock . The farmer went to heaven ,and asked God " God , when I did no wrong , followed what you said my entire life , why did you do this to me ? Why did my daugher have to meet this fate ? God too was shocked for a moment . Had he done something terribly wrong to some very nice people who loved him dearly ? He asked His angel to immediately bring the register of the farmer`s deeds . All his acts were good , except that he had voted for a very bad man in the elections . God said to him " I sent you many good persons to vote for . You always voted a criminal , rapist , looter , rioter . What can I do ? Did I not give you the power to stop them ? Your should have voted right !!
