During the Legislative Assembly elections  in Goa, two years ago, it was quite
obvious that the the BJP was going to win.

This time around, reading tea leaves, sniffing the air, and keeping  my ears
open to bazaar talk, I get the sense that the BJP, if they win, will barely
squeak through.
The honeymoon with the BJP appears to have waned and they will have a tough
slog this time.  Very hard to call this one.  It is a nail biting toss up ! One
can give up the Congress party for dead.  It is the upstart parties who will
eat into the BJP vote.

Even at the National level, me thinks that the BJP has squandered its momentum.
The contest has not been - BJP versus Congrss and other parties but
the God-like Narendra Modi, who simply  happens to be a BJP member versus all
comers.  The arrogance has turned off some people.  Since elections  in many
States are yet to be held lets see what happens. Indian voters cannot be taken
for granted anymore.  They are much more informed than in prior years.
