Tresspass and Illegal Hill cutting at ChoraoHi friends !!!

This is a shocking scene of environmental disaster in the beautiful Village of
Chorao. On 26th April 2014 (Saturday), I came accross an illegal hill cutting
in survey no. 202/6, at ward Karabhat of Village Chorao.

The said property belongs to the heirs of late Carlos Joao Alberto Francisco
Maximo Pereira and his wife late Philomena Pereira, viz; Mr. Francisco / Sobita
Pereira (KOC), Mrs. Zelma / Tony D'souza (KOC), Mr. Damian / Anna Pereira
(NBK), Christopher / Nancy Pereira (NBK), Mrs. Diana / Tony D'silva (KOC), Mrs.
Sharon / Trevor Pereira (UK).

What is more shocking is that the owners are abroad and are totally unaware of
the things. A person by name Pandurang Bandodkar, who is claiming to be mundkar
of the property has tresspassed into the entire property and has excavated and
levelled the property, in the process uprooting huge fruit bearing trees.

In a well designed criminal conspiracy, the mud which is excavated is sold out
by this miscreant to a Delhi based company. The hill cutting is financed and
managed by this company which in turn is using the mud excavated to illegally
fill up a low lying property named "Arthuracho Cantor" which the company has
purchased in chorao.

The property which is being cut and belonging to the Pereira's was a beautiful
property with a gradient consisting of fruit bearing trees and admeasuring
about 5600 sq, mts. Now almost 80% of the property is cut and damaged beyond
repair causing a disaster and the owners have been looted and cheated.

The above constitutes criminal offences under section 17-B of the Town and
Country planning Act, The Goa Preservation of Trees Act, and also offences of
criminal tresspass, cheating, fraud and criminal conspiracy under the Indian
Penal Code.

I am concerned in this matter because this property is adjoining my own
ancestral property and I am sorry to see the state of affairs.

Upon noticing the above I called up the Dy. Collector who is in charge of the
flying squad to prevent such activities, but she was not receiving my call so I
informed her by sms, but she did not respond. I thereafter also called the
Police Control Room who noted my complaint but did not act upon it.  I
also filed a written complaint to the Old Goa Police, Dy. Town Planner
(Tiswadi), Dy. Collector (DRO) Panaji, The Mamlatdar of Tiswadi with a copy to
the Chief Minister and the Minister for environment & Forest.

What is disturbing is the flying squad visited the site today after 4 days and
there is still no response / feedback from the department. The flying squad is
constituted for immediate action and stopping of such activities and has to be
operational round the clock even on holidays. But that is only on paper.

Somebody needs to act in this regard. The owners of the property should take
interest.  I call upon the owners to contact me my cell no. is
919850450823.
