The gross misuse of the Goa police machinery to unduly harass Devu Chodankar is deplorable and has to be strongly condemned. During
the recent election campaign Devu just expressed his personal opinion on Narendra Modi through a post on face book. In a democracy freedom of speech and expression cannot be compromised. In the recent concluded Lok Sabha elections a lot of people including Narendra Modi said a lot of things and all this has to be laid to rest with the elections now over. The BJP should focus on fulfilling its promise of good governance and a better India rather than going in for cheap politics of revenge and retribution. Otherwise that promise of “Ache Din Aane Wale Hain" may remain only a tall dream and a hollow promise unfulfilled.
