http://youtu.be/pueI4d6pqWE State celebreated 60thbirthday of Speaker Rajendra Arlekar on 30thMay 2014 at Kala Academy Goa. Arlekar was born on 13thApril 1954 but it could not be celebrated on the day due to election code etc. Also present were Mrs Arlekar, and his parents (watch video) Union Minister of State for Tourism and Culture Shri Shripad Naik was also present. The KA auditorium was pack to capacity plus about 150 saw standing in the corridor. Besides, outside the auditorium there were another about 300 watching the giant screen. Yet, very few were also seen in the open air auditorium where another giant scree was also provided. Meals / buffet were provided after the function say after 7.30pm However, there was no provision of tea or water to those who were there from 4.30pm or earlier. We had our cold drinks from KA Canteen at 6.30pm The function was to start at 5 but actually started around 5.40pm Free books on Swami Vivekananda were distributed to all (Marathi) We left at 6.30pm Some pics
