Hi Bernardo
Re my reading of your post, there is no simple explanation for the historic exodus of people from Goa/India to foreign lands. I am sure that you too must sometimes reflect on you presence in Macau! Further, do reflect on the historical evidence that nations will 'export' people from their shores if this is to their economic advantage. Should India be any different whether 1961 (ousting of Portugal) took place or not?
Cornel

PS Several posters, including me, have rejected the absurd denigration from a tiny minority, against those Goans earning a living in the Gulf, the high seas and anywhere else.

Subject: [Goanet] The much maligned Goan Gulf person.

Recently on Goanet there is an attempt to bombard the Goan Gulf person.

Unfortunately those who are doing it do not have a clue that it is via the GGP that they have propped the neo colonial economy (ask Sri Naguexa).

For the past 4 decades the puppets in Goa have given no guidance to Goans. This all comes from the bad eggs called India....
