Date: 14/03/20006 Damodar College hosts Seminar on Indian Banking
Vidya Vikas Mandal's, Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics will host the One Day State Level Seminar on " Indian Banking: Continuing Developments & Emerging Concerns" on Thursday, March 15 2007. The doyens of the Indian Banking Industry, banking professionals, students and the members of the academia will participate. Contemporary issues in Indian Banking including that of the Challenges before the Indian banking sector in India, trends in global banking industry, recent technological advances in banking, customer orientation in the banking industry, and the role of banks in the capital markets would be discussed. The panel of eminent resource persons include Mr. Rajendra Nirantar, the General Manager of ICICI Bank Ltd., Mr. R. Jayaram, AGM of SBI Zonal Office Panjim, Mr. J.S. Shenoy, AGM of Syndicate Bank, and Mr. Prasad Birje Manager of the training division, SBI Learning Centre Panjim. Amongst the speakers, Mr. Jayaraman and Mr. Shenoy had an earlier stint in the global environment in New York and Singapore respectively.
