Cecil,
I can understand the concept of 'disappearing' hot potatoes. This is a natural
event that can happen to anyone but somehow happens a lot to people FN is not
in good books with.

Where you and me lose though, is when a first time writer tries to but cannot
post on to Goanet. I have had people ask me for guidance when they experienced
this and apart from saying "Welcome to the club" the only other pointer I could
give is for the author to post his material in other forums (that I amĀ  on).

The people who have authored the most interesting posts on Goanet have simply
left. Cornel was one of the first to do so and even though we are poorer for
that, I still admire his resolve. There are very few intellectuals who will
stomach an anonymous or irresponsible moderator.

Lastly, I have no respect for anyone who will cling on to a position for umteen
years even when he gets repeated feed back that it is time to go.

Bob Mugabe rings a bell?

BTW, how difficult is it to acknowledge the person who volunteers even a few
hours of his/her day to Goanet. Why can't their spirit be acknowledged here?
