Oh, since I'm the self-appointed specialist for both authorised and unauthorised CVs, let me butt in here.
Anthony Barretto hails from Galjibaga, also incidentally the village of maestro Lourdino Barretto and hundreds of baby turtles, who emerge on the sands of the silvery beach on a moonlit night. He's better known by his pen-name (Tony Martin) around the village. Tony worked with a whole lot of riff raff at the Herald during its early days of transitioning from being Asia's last Portuguese-language daily in the 'eighties (Ole Xac, awaiting your comment). Including myself. He authored the best-selling book on teaching English in Goan schools (don't ask how, inspite of the Herald containing so many typos and errors). But to give credit where it's due, nobody knows of a book that has sold some 5000 copies so far in this State. Nobody who's anybody can afford not to read Tony's "Naked Goa", and if you want to read more about his many qualities there, you'll need to preferably pay for a copy and go through the foreword :-) Need some more details? Some of this is only teaser information, and there's a lot more to Tony. He can help you discover some of Canacona's most secret beaches, as he did with me. But for that, you can't be rude to him online or offline. So you'll really need to take care Selma (in what you say) :-) FN On 14/03/07, Carvalho <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
------------------------------- Hi Tony, I'm flattered by the interest and I agree that knowing one's curriculum vitae might give us a deeper insight into the person's particular expertise. I'm still reticent to do so on a public forum but I have been candid with those who've written to me in private. In the meantime let's hear something about you. take care, selma
