There are several Gulfies subscribed here and who participate (on this
forum). Didn't see anybody throw a fit. (over Carmo's Gulfies and Shippies
posts)..........

Well the Gulfies in the Gulf and the Shippies on the Ships understand that I
was suggesting sensible alternatives for their current predicaments, They
understand that their children will have brighter futures in North America
or Goa (if they stay on in college and get advanced degrees and high end
jobs). It was the Goans who are stuck in dead end jobs in India or abroad
and dont want to see the Gulfies, Shippies, or their children prosper or
those that were nostalgic about the good old days who raised a hue and cry
over my progressive suggestions !
Goans should always think out of the box and they should always think
long-term, for the Greater Good of our Global Goan Diaspora ! Otherwise we
will always remain a community of crate-carrying Gulfies or PET-carrying
Shippies ! They must be prepared to exploit the opportunities that will open
up when IITian Manohar Parrikar becomes the next Chief Minister of Goa in a
couple of months !
