Luis,
God does not direct disease or tragedy to certain people. People direct the
'negative energy' to themselves. Some knowingly take in disease as with those
who inhale carcinogens and some get maladies just because science has not yet
pinpointed the cause.

Strangely enough, the two countries I love the most are the ones filled with
magicians, mystics, transcendentals, etc. etc. who all claim they are capable
of redirecting 'energy'.  In Tanzania, such people sit under a magical baobab
tree and do not move from that auspicious spot. Their counterparts in India
(and elsewhere) have understood that it is much more lucrative for the magician
to market himself to people who are beyond a one days walk from the magical
spot. In other words, you don't have to come to us, we will come to you.

As far as Popes are concerned, I have a new respect for the old German one. He
seems to have a better understanding of how to direct the energy of 11 people
towards the goal.
