Sir/Madam,

Please publish following report in your esteemed publication and
oblige....Bhakti

Goa Carbon Limited Goodwill
Ambassador and Woman Grandmaster Bhakti Kulkarni continued riding on the
success wave when she was declared best woman player of Vaujany International
Chess Festival in France today after she defeated International Master Lucian
Filip of Romania after 7 hours’ struggle in the 9th and final round.

Bhakti, the newly crowned
Commonwealth Champion from Goa scored 6 points from 9 rounds and was way ahead
of Woman Grandmaster Sabina-Francesca Foisor
(4.5) of USA. She drew with Grandmaster Horvath from Hungary on the way
to win her beautiful trophy. “I am amazed by the profound understanding of
chess this girl has shown,” commented the GM from Hungary after he proposed
truce in their battle.

Veteran French trainer
Jean-Pierry Mercier was more eloquent. “I can see Bhakti among the top women
players of the world in two years if she continues in the same manner,”
predicted the veteran who trains 100 French players every year.

The Commonwealth Woman
Champion from Madgao gave the credit of her string of successes to her trainer
and Dronacharya Awardee Raghunandan Gokhale. “Sir has transformed my game by
making me play more aggressively,” Bhakti said.

“Bhakti deserves civic
reception for her Commonwealth Woman Championship”, Gokhale commented.”It is
not everyday occurrence that a Goan wins International Gold in senior category.”
The Central Government will honour Bhakti for the Gold medal, according to the
coach.

Nitish Has Big Impact

While Bhakti was busy
collecting 31 Elo points from her showing, Geno Pharmaceuticals Brand Ambassador
and Commonwealth Under 14 Silver medalist Nitish Belurkar shocked International
Woman Master Renata Gazik of Poland in
the final round. “It was big experience for 12 year old Nitish to play among
the elites of European chess and he surpassed my expectations by gaining 37
International rating points,” remarked ace coach Raghunandan Gokhale before
adding “I am expecting Nitish to come out and play fighting chess to give
justice to his talent in his future tournaments.”

Nitish will take part in
Dubai Open Junior Chess Championship next month and eyes medal in World Youth
Championship in South Africa in September.

Message over.
