URGENT PRESS STATEMENT
Re: We condemn the despicable act of force feeding a Muslim Staffer of
the Maharashtra Sadan Canteen by the Shiv Sena M.P's .
Will the BJP government have the courage to act against such
disgusting behaviour?
It is terrible to contemplate how very few politicians are punished in
India.
In this case the law makers have become law breakers. What example are
they setting? Criminal proceedings must be initiated against them.
Earlier there was a hue and cry by the BJP that UPA dispensation was weak
and indecisive.
Is the BJP government coward not to act against such bullying of a common
hardworking employee irrespective of which religion he belongs?
If an ordinary citizen had to indulge in such behaviour he would have
been arrested by now. Is there a different law for Members of Parliament?
Our demand is very clear: "Enforce the rule of law" to all equally.
Such MP's do not deserve to be our representatives. Shameful indeed is
their behaviour and should be condemned with all the words at our
command and they should be punished.
