I thought tha was the case in the MarThoma churches in Kerala. Our Catholic
churches always levelled the praying field and were proud of that
accomplishment ! In fact that was the reason many Dalit Christians in
Kerala converted to Catholicism. Could you please name the place/parish in
Kerala which has this stratification even today ? I am not sure of the
neo-Caste System in Kerala - Non-Gulfie, Gulfie, Amrica-returnee....

Apparently your research has missed the appalling situation in Kerala where
Catholics supposedly from
"upper" castes and Catholics descended from Dalits worship in separate
Catholic Churches.
I have never heard it get that bad in Goa or anywhere else.
