This year's theme was the coconut with over thirty dishes being served. Villagers prepared a feast -- where everything was free for all who cared to come. Sur (toddy), pudde, sanna, vhon, patoieo (all traditional Goan sweets) with later a meal of rice, samarchi coddi (spicy yellow coconut prawn-curry). There was also entertainment for all. This event was organised by the Socio-Art and Cultural Association, Porvorim. In keeping with the unique style of its organisers, it had no sponsors, no chief guests and no prizes!
