Hi Eugene I agree with your point that quality may not be important for people attending the above function but the dropping of standards in the UK by the third and fourth generation of our people has led to outside intervention of personnel from statutory authorities to protect our own health and safety. As I said before, for the first time in over 40 years, there was the visible presence of three health and safety officials who were there to ensure what our standards should be! With regards to your comments on Menino de Valpoi of Niz Goenkar at least he has taken the time off to give us factual coverage of the festival using his own equipment and expenditure, we must pat him on the back for that. What is missing is more coverage of sound and vision of the so called top bands from Goa. Perhaps other visitors who may have captured this can share this with us. Chinese whispers in the gozali Goan wind was that the Summer Sizzler in Harrow Leisure Centre (one of three big halls in London with a large capacity) was a Fizzler. What also appears to have fizzled out is the annual Sports Day and the Grand Sports Dance which was constant for the last 40 years but dead in the last 3 years as our young people have no acumen due to fatigue on play stations, Wi-Fi and grey brain cells damaged through loud music. Perhaps the manufacturers of Sony, Samsung, Nokai and Apple can put their heads together for a new business venture on disability equipment for this super clever generation. World Goa Day has gone by, I had requested the organisers to respond to the blizzard of enquiries I had received "what do they do with the money". I am astonished but not surprised that no response has been placed on goanet on this very public event. My suggestion as a past office bearer is that folks who are enquiring about the money and are still members of this organisation take time out and attend the statutory Accountant's General Meeting (AGM) of the company.
