SELF-CERTIFICATION PROCEDURE
IMPLEMENTED BY CENTRAL GOVERNMENT
The Trustees of Public Concern For Governance Trust (PCGT) are sorry to
learn that the government of Maharashtra has not so far acted on the
Self-certification procedure, introduced and being implemented by Central
Government from May 2013 onwards.
In reply to a recent RTI query from PCGT, the GAD, Government of
Maharashtra said that the matter is still under consideration !
It is very disappointing to know that such a measure which will prove to
be very helpful to public could not be acted upon by the State government with
the speed and despatch that it deserves.
