It is shocking to read that Jomo was behind Pio's killing. They were good friends and comrade-in-arms but Pio was looked as an "outsider" by many of the Mau Mau members. I believe that Jomo had suggested to Pio to go back to India for the fear that he would be killed. Pio was adamant on the ground that he's a Kenyan and would want to spend his life for the country, a country he fought for. In the end, he paid with his life. The story doesn't give any reference nor does it carry any byline. It says "ADMIN" and one doesn't know who owns the website. An acknowledged Kenyan historian or reputed journalist or some old leader belong to the Mau Mau group should confirm the story is sound, though the person will not be able to say if its "true"
Maybe those Kenyan Goans can find out who wrote the story, and what are the basis for this story to come out so late after the death of Jomo. Eugene
