Tio Alfredo was a brave heart of Goa facing the Handoo goons after 61. Later it
was the communalist MGP who tried to tear him down. Tio Alfredo stood strong
against all these adversities. It is only recently that he wrote in the O
Heraldo what he went through after 61. He wanted to preserve the Goan way of
life. It is a lesson for young Goans who are bollywood clad to learn about his
sacrifices.
In today's neo colonial Goa names of places and structures are named after
unknown people, is there a place for a Goan name?

May his soul rest in peace!
