HATE PROPAGANDA ON THE RISE IN GUJARAT-Fr. Cedric Prakash sj* ‘Hate propaganda’ continues seems to be on the rise in Gujarat. As always, this propaganda targets the minorities of the State particularly Muslims and Christians. The latest is an inflammatory leaflet which is distributed widely in several areas of the State. The leaflet while targeting Muslim youth also casts aspersions on the Christians. Apparently published by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) from Rajkot (the complete names, addresses of the offices and also of the publishers and printers are on the leaflet). The ‘aim’ of the leaflet is “a call to the Hindu parents” to be careful of Muslim youth who seem to be desperate to dupe, kidnap, rape, marry Hindu girls. Several “examples” (which cannot be authenticated) are also provided in order to try to drive home the point. Finally, there is an ‘imaginary quote’ attributed to Swami Vivekanand which obviously cannot be found anywhere in his writings or teachings. The unfortunate part is that those who indulge in such divisive and incendiary propaganda do so with a tremendous amount of immunity. They know fully well that their powerful political patrons will protect them at whatever the cost. Above all, the law and order mechanism of the State seems to turn a blind eye to the ‘hate propaganda’ that such right-wing groups dish out. We reproduce here below a rough translation (in English) of this leaflet with a copy attached of the original Gujarati one. This is not done with any intention to support the ‘hate propaganda’ but rather to make others aware of the ground reality and that civil society should wake up as soon as possible to prevent the plural and inclusive fabric of the country deteriorating even further! 9th September, 2014 (* Fr. No. Then read – think and act Muslim young men, in order to dupe the poor and the rich Hindu girls, adopt false Hindu names and take them for a ride on their motor-bikes and dupe them. These young men inspite of being married, get married to the Hindu girls, with a view to satisfying their lust. Then they provoke their friends to satisfy their lust with these girls and finally they sell them off to pimps; eventually these girls are forced to become prostitutes. Some explosive figures In 1947, Hindus were 35 crores in number, in 2002 their number increased to 80 crores, that is they doubled in number. In 1947, the Christians were 25 lakhs. They became 3.5 crores in 2002, that means they increased, eleven – fold their original number. In 1947, Muslims were hardly 2.5 crores, in 2002 they were 15 crores that means they increased 10 times their original number. Ø Every year, the Muslim goondas (anti-social elements) duped, coaxed, raped, deceived, kidnapped 5 lakh Hindu young girls by above means or by making them second, third or fourth wives, increase their (Muslim) population. This the Muslims regard as a service to Islam. Ø To dupe the Hindu maidens in a planned manner, crores of rupees are allotted for the training of the Muslim goondas. >From where do Muslims dupe the Hindu young girls? Ø A well dressed Muslim sitting on his motor-bike at the gate of school / college / hostel Ø A Muslim working or doing business with the Hindu maidens Ø A Hindu servant working in the house of a Muslim becomes his Bibi (wife) Ø A Muslim teacher, doctor, lawyer make their Hindu (maidens) clients his wife as soon as an opportunity arises Ø A Hindu maiden of a helper’s family or staying with her widowed mother is duped or kidnapped by a Muslim staying in the neighbourhood Ø A Muslim sitting at the pan-shop, or a Muslim shopkeeper selling ladies garments or beauty aids dupe the Hindu maidens who come as customers Ø A Muslim who increases his relation with a Hindu family, his target is the maiden of the said family, he dupes or kidnaps her Why is a Hindu maiden duped by a Muslim? Ø For the past ten years, Haaji Mastan or Dawood Ibrahim (who are goondas) invest millions or billions of rupees in the films which in a systematic manner portray the Poojaris of the Hindu temples or the sages as corrupt persons in their films and TV serials. They presented the Maulvis or Christian priests as good, hence they succeeded in presenting a Hindu as a low person Ø They made a Hindu maiden playing in the hands of a Muslim hero (film star) in the films. The Muslim generation of today is inspired by such scenes in the films and they ape the Muslim heroes. These Muslim youngsters dress well (even adopt a Hindu name) wait at the school, college or hostel gates on their motor-bikes to dupe the Hindu maidens. This is a part of the international conspiracy Page 2 Ø An educated girl Rashmi, from a big (well-known) family in Surat was cheated by a Muslim who assured her that he would not marry any other person but her. He then married her but within a month he married another girl (probably a Muslim). The Hindu bride Rashmi was frustrated and she consumed poison Ø An educated maiden belonging to a billionaire Hindu family from Karnavati (Ahmedabad) who was being taught car driving by a Muslim driver was duped and kidnapped Ø Many minor Hindu girls in Surat district, commuting by bus are being duped by the Muslim bus drivers Ø >From a college gate in Karnavati (Ahmedabad) a graduate Hindu maiden was duped by a Muslim to marry him (who had adopted a Hindu name – Raju). After the marriage the girl realized that she had been duped by a Muslim Ø A Muslim girl running a beauty aid shop ‘Karnavati Saundarya Prasadham’ duped a Hindu maiden who was his customer Ø A Hindu girl running a beauty parlour was duped by a Muslim vendor visiting her shop for selling his wares Ø In Bharuch, a senior lawyer duped a Hindu maiden working as his junior and made her his second wife Ø An educated Hindu girl Sonal staying in Karnavati (Ahmedabad) was made to believe by a Muslim that someone else’s bungalow was his and that he had a well paid job. Thus, he duped her by his lies and married her but after the marriage, he kept her in a slum in Gomtipur (probably where he may be actually living). Sonal escaped from there and returned home. Ø A Muslim doctor in Navsari duped a Hindu doctor working with him Ø A Muslim partner of a Hindu business man in Bardoli duped (deceived) the businessman’s sister Varsha. He kidnapped and then married her.
