NEW KONKANI BOOK IN KUWAIT.
"Koslich Malis Nastana" is the new book recently released in Goa. It is
written by the well known Goan writer and journalist Daniel F. D'Souza who
is working for Port Trust at Marmagoa and also editing its Magazine. Daniel
F. D'Souza is also a freelance bilingual journalist contributing articles
and reviews to different Goan Dailies, Weeklies, Monthlies and other
periodicals. He is involved in many of the activities in support of Konkani
and he is a strong supporter and promoter of Romi Konkani. A man of his
journalistic calibre and literary background is a big asset to Romi script
Konkani and this particular point should be noted by the Nagrivadis who
think they themselves are great stalwarts of Konkani. Romi Konkani is not
in the hands of "hoi-polloi" as idiotic minded Nagrivadis think. Romi
Konkani is no more in the hands of those who qualified from the local
Parochial Schools. It is in the hands of now highly literate, highly
educated and highly intellctual people. Daniel D'Souza and his wife both
are highly qualied couple having strong affiliation and love for Konkani in
genral and Romi Konkani in particular. His wife is a Professor at St.
Xaviers College and even their young school going daughter is having a
mastery over Konkani literature even though she is English educating girl.
Copies of "Koslich Malis Nastana" has already reached in Kuwait and
yesterday I have received them in my hands. Some of my friends and
colleagues have already collected copies from me and requests for more are
coming from all sides. This is a good sign that shows the calibre of the
