You may be surprised to know, Selma, that Goa does get mentioned in national reports about the environment. Only yesterday I managed to catch the segment on ground water pollution in NDTV's weather report. And Goa figured in it somewhere in the middle (instead of down below as you would have expected). I missed the part on air pollution, however. They usually limit themselves to temperatures, so one has to get lucky to be able to catch the pollution report. But the main point is that the basic data gets generated locally and picked up nationally. We have to identify the local sources of the Goa air pollution data and see what their data says about levels, trends and comparisons and take decisions accordingly. Cheers.
