The Vatican announced today that Blessed Vaz will be canonized. Amazingly,
Filomena Giese, President of the Joseph Naik Vaz Institute (Berkeley,
California) arrived in Rome today for the major September 23rd Joseph Vaz event
organized by the Institute in Rome. One of the intentions of the Mass on Sept
23 was to request a canonization. Now that the Vatican has approved the
canonization, the intention has been changed to "thanksgiving for the
canonization of Joseph Vaz".
