Here are some nice pics for the album. Hope our Cafe Tato clientele will appreciate. http://www.flickr.com/photos/vitor107/sets/
Since you mention, I was talking with the Dhuris of Cafe Tato. (I'm a great fan of that place, so is my daughter. So is Rajan Parrikar.) And here's what they told me... Café Tato at Panjim (G3 Souza Towers, Nr Municipal Garden, Opposite Jesuit House on Rua Travessa de Revolucao) Phone 2426690. Check out their tasty typically Goan veg cooking, the type which has created fans for this once modest outlet. It is famous for its 'puri bhaji'. In the mornings, it's "usal" and "chole masala' and "mushroom" are the varieties usually on offer in evenings. "Cashewnut bhaji", a typically Goan offering, gets made roughly twice weekly, sometimes on Mondays and Thursdays ... but you need to check. It's Goan veg thali is priced at Rs 30. Also sweets (try the "buns"), and other snacks. Also has an outlet in Margao. Cafe Tatos's in Margao (G5 Apna Bazar Complex, Varde Valaulikar Road, Margao, 403601). Phone: 2736014. Has a wider specialisation range than its Panjim counterpart. Focuses on South Indian, Goan and Chinese food. Known for its 'Bombay Pao Bhaji'. It also offers masala dosas and more. Also at Panjim. Senhor, I'd be grateful if you could give me some links to interesting eateries in Goa... Like JoeGoaUK, am working on the same (but with the goal of a compilation). Of course, you could look beyond Chinese. There's a great deal of "international" food coming to Goa these days. Don't blame the Bharatis for that....
