A pity that Bollywood producers even of "Art" films use non-Goan actors to be cast in the film in Goan roles. That very action destroys the authenticity of the film.
It is well nigh time Bollywood picked Konkani stage actors and trained them for main film roles, not just cameos, for Goa based films of which there are regular appearances Non Goan audiences will not miss this authenticity. On the contrary them go to view films with famous names. These are box office hits but the genre will never reach a discerning audience such as at international level. If they had been supportive of Goan actors for such films who knows but that a celluloid Anthony Mendes or M. Boyer would have been reborn. Sent from my iPhone
