It is ridiculous to learn that the Police Headquarters at Panaji stops functioning when the VVIP's comes to visit this state. Even a simple FIR could not be accepted as soon as the complaint was lodged by the President of Goa Union of Journalist Kishore Shet Gaonkar on alleged attack and damage caused to the expensive camera on a television journalist Anil Laad at Santa Monica on Sat. evening. Reason was given is that in view of Vice-President's visit to Goa, the police station staff are on BANDOBAST duty. Why was the delay accepting the FIR ? It appears there is no Police force available to receive a complaint in view of such visits by VVIP's. Stephen Dias, D.Paula
