Dear John Colaco USA
Why all of you after Alina's blood? Yes, because of MOPA. She wore her black vestment after the death of her husband for a year as per our Goan style/rules. The meaning of this vestment, is for people to pray for the departed soul when you see them wearing. That means Matanhy must have received many prayers from Goans and he must be in Heaven that’s what we believe. He must be praying now for GOA to get all what is best needed for Goans. Some credit should go to his wife Alina for sacrificing for the last one year wearing black dress even though she was a Minister but she was not ashamed wearing when she could have dressed all beautiful colours during her ministerial service. Now, it is high time that she should understand the feelings of Goans by protesting with the Government and demanding that MOPA airport must be discarded as per Matanhy's desire who always said that Goa should have only one airport that is Dabolim ( centre of Goa). Matanhy's spirit will surely guide Alina! Fr. Eremita Rebello who was a celebrant for the MASS during his funeral and his sermon was full of feelings and the hearts of those present found crying for his untimely death. Let us pray for Alina to achieve at least this particular goal of "NO MOPA AIRPORT" what her husband was demanding. In worst circumstances she can even resign from Ministership for such a good cause. We still have hopes. " I commend Fr. Ermito?s spirited fight against Mopa. But hoping Matanhy?s spirit to guide Alina in an environment where Parrikar is her influential guiding spirit and in money talks, bullshit walks arena-my dear Ermito is hoping for the impossible. Alina please defend yourself if you have any self respect. You have the right. Development is acceptable but not at the cost of looting the poor and politicians benefiting out of Mopa project.
