The Tourism Department in a smart move has introduced trained lady Taxi
drivers, meters at approved rates, modern communication and business practices.
The Taxi Union must see the writing on the wall. Consumers do not owe them a
living! For too long they have been able to strong arm the government and
Tourism business, holding the Consumer to ransom! In today's world the
"Consumer is KING", and service the name of the game. The male taxi drivers to
survive need to compete with competitive rates and improved services and try to
salvage their bad reputation if they care for Goa's positive development image.
On the other hand, the lady taxi service will have to build their reputation
for an honest,clean and safe reliable service worthy of correcting the
reputation and image of Goa Taxi services.
