Hi all

I was delighted to read about Joseph Dias's Goa in sepia tinted postcards,
brings back memories of Remo's Goanna postcards.   Perhaps this can also be an
opportunity for all of us to practice the ancient art of handwriting by sending
a postcard to Pope Francis and assisting the good people at Pilar in the
communication to the Vatican to draw the attention of Pope Francis to intervene
in the process of the beatification of Father Agnelo who passed away nearly 87
years ago this month.   Your postcards of scenes from Goa might end up in bin
bags, may or may not be read by the present officials/advisors of Pope Francis
or end up in bin bags to be collected for recycling but at least you tried.
Below is a draft line.

Dear Pope Francis

I am writing to draw your attention to the cause for the beatification of
Father Agnelo, a son of Goa, who passed away on 20 November 1927.

Yours sincerely

Our people around the world and their friends are individually invited to take
part.
