Haile Selassie may well be remembered for posing with his pet
lions, as were Persian rulers of antiquity. To the Africans,
they were probably a cattle and man eating scourge. I cannot dwell on the
one hundred odd Sikh carpenters who were carried away from railroad work
camps. They merit a monument.
