*A CERTIFICATE COURSE IN ROMI KONKNNI FOR BEGINNERS **BY ROMI LIPI ACTION FRONT*
To promote the learning of Romi Konknni in Goa, Romi Lipi Action Front *(RALF)* will conduct on a regular basis Certificate Course in Romi Konknni for Beginners. The Course will commence from 19th November to 18th December 2014 from 2.30 to 5.30 pm from Monday to Friday at RALF office Margao. This course is for those who do not know Konknni or know a little of it. This course is based on modern linguistic methods of learning and teaching a language. Speaking, reading and grammatical information will be given great importance in this course. Mr. Jose Salvador Fernandes, a post graduate in Konknni, worked as a Konknni teacher in Carmel College for Women, Nuvem and Fr. Agnelo College of Arts & Commerce, Pilar, a known Konknni writer and who has served Dalgado Konknni Akademi, Panjim as a competent Secretary for more than 10 years will be the main resource person for this course. He has also served as an editorial board member of Romi Konknni orthographies - *Romi Lipient Konknni Borovchi Nemavoll (2007) *published by Goa Konkani Akademi,* Romi Lipient Konknni Bhas Borounchi Promann Rit (2010) *and* Amchi Bhas Borounchi Promann Rit (2013) *both published by Dalgado Konknni Akademi. He has also worked on a dictionary project *Inglez-Konknni (Romi Lipi) Utravoll* by Goa Konkani Akademi, of which Part One is published. In the past, he has ably assisted Dr. (Fr.) Pratap Naik, SJ, a well-known Konknni linguist, teacher and researcher and who is the authority in Konknni language in giving Romi Konknni Courses. Presently he is the Vice-President of All India Konknni Writers’ Organization of the Goa State. Admissions will be given on first come first served basis.
