It is reported that whilst devotees including senior citizens and the frail and poor people were made to wait in unmoving queues and in the sun at the St Francis Xavier Exposition, the politicians were given VIP treatment by the church authorities. This has to be strongly condemned as Christ stooped to wash the feet of his disciples and everyone is equal before the law and God! Politicians who want to show their superiority or privileged position and are steeped with the VIP syndrome should have no place in a democracy, leave alone the devotion ceremonies of the Church!
