The Culture of the Gawdas which is unique in nature is centered around the Mand. But the church in Goa or its priest are after the mand and are in the process of destroying all the mands of Gawdas from the earth of Goa. the recent example is the destruction of the Mand at QUINEABHAT AVEDEM QUEPEM. The church or its priest still considers the Gawdas as untouchable as it is so because it never touches the issues affecting the Gawdas nor take up the issue dear to the Gawda Community. But it is intentionally neglecting that is continued even today. So my opinion is right that the church considers the Gawdas as Untouchables even today like the SC and ST of Hindu hold are considered as untouchables by the upper caste Hindus. But Inspite of considering the Gawdas as untouchebles Why the church or its priest are still after the Mand/culture of Gawdas? What they want to achieve by destroying the mand or culture of the Gawdas? It is because the church or its priest are afraid of the culture of the Gawdas which is so powerful that it can unify all the Gawdas? Or it is because they are afraid that if the Mand or culture of the Gawdas continued one day they may return back to their roots? or they want to completely westernize the Gawdas? or are they want the Gawdas to be identified by Religion rather then by their Community? or they want to wipe out the history of the Gawdas so that the church can say in the years to come that the Gawdas have no history like those who evolves in the decision making of the church? or still the church or priest considers the Gawdas as their slaves as it has considered and treated in the past? These are the million dolor questions requires to be answered.
