The disaster Robert Pires has been to FC Goa in the current Indian Super
league is what Manohar Parrikar has been to Goa. There was so much hype and
expectation but both have miserably failed to deliver.

Despite having captained Panaji as MLA for 20 long years and having been
Chief Minister of Goa from 24th October 2000 to 2nd February 2005 and once
again from 9th March 2012 to 8th November this year Manohar Parrikar’s
 performance
has been appalling with only empty promises and a string of unending U
turns to his credit. On all the corruption and nepotism less said the
better.

The performance of Robert Pires too despite being the captain of FC Goa has
been very unimpressive. He has failed to score with the team winning and
playing high-quality football only when Robert Pires is rested on the
stands. Likewise Goa may see ‘Acche din’ only if Manohar Parrikar is
restrained from meddling in the State’s affairs by remote control which he
brazenly now continues to do despite not being the Chief Minister of Goa.

It is time Manohar Parrikar who is now rancid pickle is put to political
rest and the fatigued Robert Pires hangs his boots.
